The Middlesex Woodturners Association
offers wood turners:
- guidance in acquiring skill,
- help with design ideas, and
- encouragement to keep trying to improve their work.
The members, about a hundred in all, include all
levels of experience from those who are just beginning to those who make their
living by turning. They travel to the monthly meetings from Berkshire,
Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey and West London as well as Middlesex.
The Association is a branch of the Association of Woodturners of Great
Britain.
The meetings, which usually include a demonstration,
are held at 8.00 pm on the second Thursday of each month at:
Harlington Community School,
Pinkwell Lane,
Hayes,
Middlesex
Newcomers are very welcome, and may come to two
meetings as visitors, at £3.00 per visit, without making a commitment to a
subscription.
For further information please come to a meeting.
It is not necessary to book beforehand.
